Yes, the individual that you have met at the consult will be the sitter coming over. In an extreme emergency, where that sitter couldn't make the visit due to an accident or illness, we do have other sitters who can fill in, so you are guaranteed your pet will never have a missed visit. Also, some sitters work together in teams or as back-up for each other. In this case, you will meet both sitters at the consultation. Depending on scheduling and pet needs, each situation is unique.
Many cats are shy, especially with new people. If your cat hides, we will ask you to show us the favorite hiding places. We will search your house for your cat to make sure he is only hiding and not injured. Even if your cat hides, we will spend the full visit time at your house. Often a cat that hides on the first visit will come out to visit and get attention on the second visit. Some cats hide very well. As a result, we may not be able to find them. When this happens, we will use other evidence to ascertain that your cat is doing well. Evidence such as seeing if food is being eaten and the litter box is being used.
We do not provide pet transportation, however in case of emergency, we can take your pet to the veterinarian.
